I've had a run of bad luck with my DRACOdesign Tigris bumper, starting with the loss of its rubber volume button. When I sent emails asking for replacement parts, they were met with complete indifference. In a flash of inspiration, I decided to create and 3D print my own version. Flexible filament is definitely an upgrade from traditional material, offering a much softer touch. The latest iteration has been thoroughly tested on my trusty iPhone 6. To ensure the best results when printing, follow these instructions carefully. First things first, set your resolution to its highest setting before starting the process. This will guarantee that every detail is precisely captured in your design. Take careful note of the longest dimension, which should ideally be around 30mm or 3cm for optimal performance. Make any necessary adjustments to the decimal steps if your initial measurement proves inaccurate. After your print has been completed, remove the support structure with a sharp knife but leave the actuators intact. I opted for this method in my DIY approach and found it worked flawlessly. For accuracy's sake, I relied solely on my trusty set square to take precise measurements before importing them into Cinema 4D. In hindsight, I realize that my initial model was slightly too small, so for future reference, you may want to make your design marginally larger to achieve a perfect fit. It would be worth experimenting with different materials as well - perhaps one that's even softer to the touch than the flexible filament used in this particular iteration?
