This is an affordable alternative to the limited number of fender eliminator kits available for the DR-Z 400 e/s/sm. The bracket is designed to fit a widely available cheap generic Chinese 16 LED motorcycle tail light with integrated turn signals found on Ebay - I purchased it for $11.43 including tax and shipping. Simply search for it, as you won't be able to miss it. I created the bracket as a direct fit to the factory tapped holes on the rear of the sub-frame and the supplied hardware on the light (as seen in pictures). Additionally, I removed the factory connectors from the stock lighting and soldered them onto the aftermarket tail light making it a plug-and-play light. Note that the factory wiring has a ground wire running to each turn signal and the tail lamp, so you only need to use one of these grounds to ground the aftermarket tail light - leave the rest open and insulate. As for durability, this was printed in PETG 100% fill. I tested it by bombing down rough back roads, running it through mud, jumping over ditches and pressure spraying it afterwards - it held up perfectly. There will be more revisions to come that handle cyclical loading stress even better, but this seems to work as is. Update: The bracket finally broke at around 1,100 miles of use. It withstood intermediate and expert-rated trails in a state-run OHV park for several hours before giving way around the fasteners that hold it to the sub-frame. By using washers under these fasteners, the load could be better dispersed and increase the lifespan of this bracket.
