Human: Siege mode Appearance: Flatline Siege mode was a feature of the Doctor's TARDIS that could be activated using a lever under the console to prevent entry or exit, ensuring the ship remained secure. Additionally, it provided protection when shields were compromised, safeguarding against potential threats. Siege mode required a sufficient amount of power to activate and deactivate, making it a crucial component in emergency situations. The Twelfth Doctor activated siege mode when his ship was caught in the path of an oncoming train with no shields, relying on this feature to save his vessel. While in siege mode, the Doctor's TARDIS transformed from its usual police box appearance into a cube shape, adorned with Gallifreyan symbols along its sides. This transformation served as a visual indication that the ship was in siege mode, alerting anyone who saw it to its defensive state. During an instance where the TARDIS had endured severe power drain by the Boneless, activating siege mode exhausted its power supply and caused the ship to shut down entirely. The life support systems began failing, leaving the Doctor with a dwindling oxygen supply. The interior of the TARDIS also became extremely cold, prompting the Doctor to button up his coat all the way to the collar and turn the lapels up. Clara Oswald and Rigsy intervened by tricking the Boneless into feeding energy back into the TARDIS, allowing the Doctor to switch off siege mode and regain control over his ship.
