Dr Boo's NBTV light box (parametric, SCAD) v0.1

thingiverse

This is a custom-built light-box for an advanced mechanical televisor system. For more information on this unique hobby, visit the official NBTV forum at https://www.taswegian.com/NBTV/forum/. The design consists of two distinct parts: the main box and the lid, which are designed to be printed flat alongside each other. The curved aperture window on the box is precisely engineered to match any Nipkow disk dimensions you specify, offering a slight tolerance for displaying slightly larger-than-frame images. Inside the box, multiple shelves provide storage space for plastic diffuser sheets, which can be glued onto each shelf for secure placement. A screwdriver notch has been added to the base of the backplate for easy removal and access. To prevent light leakage through the slot, a shelf inside the box blocks any escaping light. For convenient wire entry and exit points, simply drill holes where needed. As design issues are ironed out, this model will undergo modifications, but the latest version will always be available here. A new update has been released, featuring a redesigned lid that eliminates obstructions for inserting custom-sized circuit boards exactly as required.
