Dr Boo's Filament Dryer Spacers
thingiverse
A token tip if you use/like this would really make my day. I created a filament dryer by building this separator for use with a 5-star Chef Food Dehydrator. One separator is placed between each tray of the Chef, making sufficient space to insert a roll of filament on each level. Printing five of these separators allows you to dry five rolls of filament in a single go. The scad file is parametric, so you can modify it if you want to play with the dimensions, and it should auto-configure as you change its settings. I spent some time ensuring that the default arrangement has all the bits exactly the right thickness so that all parts fit together snugly. You shouldn't have to change anything. One of the pictures shows the profile of the part, demonstrating how it's not just a straight-edged cylinder. Here's a dodgy assembly video: https://youtu.be/KuEwu_J6fK4 Note that these separators should work as stackable cylinders for use in other applications. Simply change the dimensions via the parameter variables and you'll be good to go. I have added a "HALF" option, which would allow you to print on a smaller printer (e.g., an Ender-3) and glue two together to make a full ring.
