Dr Boo's Bowden Conversion of Jonas's Greg's Wade
thingiverse
I've uploaded a minor modification to the great Wade Extruder linked here. I made an island on top, so when you put it upside down, the bottom becomes the new top. This allows a screw-in push-fit connector to be placed for guiding filament downward and attaching PTFE tube to the extruder. I also created a plate that lets another push-fit connector guide filament from the top into the extruder and attaches the extruder base (now the top) to the 1515 openbeam type frame. The tilting screws fit around the new island, but you'll need to cut off the pivoting mechanism's tongue part, which previously pushed against the filament, by hand since it's no longer needed. To print, you will need to get the STL for the major parts of the extruder body and make sure to print with support, as I added overhang for the push-fit island. Cut off the 'tongue' of the pivoting part, which is now unnecessary due to the island. Glue or screw a push-fit connector into the island for feeding filament and attach PTFE tube to it as well.
