Dr Boo's Astounding Magnetic Shoelaces

While innovative magnetic shoelaces have been around for a while, this redesign offers a remarkably robust magnetic latching shoelace that nearly eliminates accidental un-tying. These magnets prove incredibly strong in both horizontal and vertical directions - I can confidently pull them apart "intentionally" only with great effort. A small tab is conveniently located at the edge of the latch, making it very easy to lift and detach. The mechanism works by utilizing magnet attraction to hold the parts together, and a ridge/trench system to prevent lateral movement. Together, these components ensure the mechanism remains rigid during use and prevents accidental detachment of the laces. To assemble this design, you will need 4 neodymium magnets, each measuring 20mm x 10mm x 2mm, which must be glued into the recesses - double-checking polarity is essential! You'll need to print two STL objects, glue in the magnets, and then lace them into your shoes as shown in the picture. The image features an earlier prototype with four holes; however, the provided model has three, offering better spacing.
