DPTE Rapid Transfer Port for Transporting Sterile Materials

DPTE Rapid Transfer Port for Transporting Sterile Materials

thingiverse

****NOTE: PRE-ALPHA RELEASE - NOT READY FOR PRINTING/USE**** An opensource design for a DPTE Rapid Transfer Port to make the transfer of sterile materials easier for biologists, biohackers, mushroom cultivators, brewers, etc. as the system allows users to introduce sterile materials or cultures into a clean area while reducing the risk of accidentally introducing contaminants during the transfer process. I have limited 3D modeling experience and am currently learning the basics of FreeCAD, so it's gonna be a bit rough. The current design is (very) loosely based on a Getinge Model 105 DPTE-S Transfer System. Feel free to fork and improve upon the file(s). Todo: - Cut grooves for the latches/flanges to enter and lock in. - Add grooves for J3L-E seals (preferably create a two-material print that allows the seal to be printed along with the assembly using a filament suitable for making gaskets)
