DPMS mag reinforcements
thingiverse
I printed the DPMS mag twice and both times when I load about 8 or so rounds the feed lips break. I noticed compared to the CMMG mags they are a bit thinner, so there is room to make them thicker. However instead of just making them thicker - where the layer lines would still be the same and be the weak spot - I made these thin reinforcements that print laying down. When glued on, the feed lips now have layer lines in 2 directions. Like plywood. This SHOULD be much stronger. I have loaded 12 rounds in my printed magazine and nothing broke! Don't worry about the super thin parts they aren't necessary and won't print. I lightly sanded the mating surfaces and used Med CA. BTW I use 0.6mm x 10mm springs from ebay. Cut about 130mm.
