DPad with Buttons
thingiverse
This design is a dpad with four extra buttons for use with the Xbox Adaptive Controller (XAC). The part is made up of 4 seperate components: the top of the box, the bottom of the box, and the two button designs that you press. These components are all available for download as stl and SolidWorks files. On the inside of the part, there are 8 square slots to hold keyboard switches. We used Green Cherry MX Keyswitches (https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_list&c=48) so those will fit best into the square slot. We solder the buttons to a 3.5mm aux cable. Here is the link to the chord we use: shorturl.at/bhiF3. We use zipties to secure the top and base of the switch together.
