Background: One of our Downspout Adapter got old and cracked. I looked for the exact design in HomeDepot and Lowes. They had different models but not the exact same one. So instead of shipping it in, I thought I would just print it. It was an easy design. Plus I could get a very close fit and a slightly better design than an off-the-shelf product. Instructions: Used the Tree Support to print - uses less plastic, faster and works better. IMPORTANT: Please make sure you use a 99% or 100% infill as otherwise the print will Fail at the point the part is transitioning from the drain insert to the downspout adapter !!! Design & Customization: The design works better than the off-the-shelf Adapter as it fits inside of the drain pipe. However, please check the measurements for your drain pipe opening with a calliper, because it is meant for precise and custom fit. The f3d will allow you to edit the measurements super easily in the Sketch. And that will automatically translate into the extrusion so you don't have to worry about anything else!
