Dowel Puzzle

There are eight dowel segments that you must fit into a box. You should be able to get seven pieces in with ease, but the last piece poses a challenge. This simple project was created from scrap wood at minimal cost and took approximately an hour to build. The puzzle files - STP/STL - are included for those who want to print their own version. I tested the puzzle on my two teenage children, and both gave up after five minutes, so I would say it's moderately challenging. The original creator of this logic puzzle was Tesa Timonen from Sweden in 2002. I reverse-engineered this version from online pictures.
