Dowel Lamp with low poly shade!

Dowel Lamp with low poly shade!

Check out this amazing build, timelapse, and assembly video: https://youtu.be/C3G_T56NpWw. I just created a modern lamp using an IKEA light socket and some versatile 3/8" wooden dowels. The unique lamp shade was designed in Fusion 360 and then simplified in Meshmixer to achieve a low poly look that's perfect for 3D printing. To give it a sleek appearance, the shade is printed in vase mode with spiralized outer contours, measuring 140mm in diameter and height to fit most build plates. This lamp is specifically designed for LED bulbs only, as conventional bulbs would be too hot. Please make sure your bulb doesn't get warm enough to melt the shade! You can use the IKEA "Hemma" light socket from the video or pictures, but the nicer "Sekond" braided cordset will also fit perfectly. Enjoy!
