Dowel:Knife Stand

Dowel:Knife Stand

thingiverse

Knife stand. Design concept. This concept can be easily extended to any dowel sizes and any shape [of the frame]. Knifes should have "perpendicular" transition from the blade to the handle and should be blade-heavy (otherwise they will "flip"). You'll need: wood dowels 3/8"(~9.5mm) for horizontal links, and 1/2" (~12.7mm) for vertical links. Middle plate is optional, but helps to guide short knifes. Note that the stand on the photo is an early prototype where every plate consists of 2 pieces. This design was hard to assemble and it was replaced by single-piece plates.
