Dowel Jig

Dowel Jig

thingiverse

A versatile dowel jig perfect for joining the end of a 2x4 or 1x4 to an edge board seamlessly. To get started, locate the center of the board you'll be drilling into and align it with the slot on the jig. Then, drill through the guide, using the closest holes for 1x stock and further apart for 2x stock. Next, hold the board up against the joining stock where you want it and draw a line on its edge. Now, use the jig to drill matching holes in the joining stock. Designed from scratch on Onshape, this dowel jig allows for evenly spaced dowels along the end of a 1x4 or 2x4. When printing, a 15% infill should be sufficient, but add extra perimeters around the drill guide holes for added strength.
