Dowel Jig 3/8"

Dowel Jig 3/8"

I needed to drill sixteen holes for three-eighths inch wood dowels for a project. I looked for a jig to do so, but the ones available only accommodated three-eighths inch dowels with no easy or accurate way to place them, and they cost twenty dollars each. The jigs that did provide spacing were usually multi-size and cost seventy to one hundred dollars or more. Ah ha! I have a 3D printer, so I designed a jig in Sketchup. Twenty minutes later, I had the design ready. Two hours and thirty minutes after that, I printed out the jig. All I needed to do was clamp it to the board and drill.
