Dovetail snap-in cable guide
thingiverse
I secure the cables connected to my telescope with a cable wrap, routing them down the mount. I've relied on Velcro, rubber bands, and ties to keep everything in place but decided to experiment with these snap-in guides that can pivot slightly. The holes where they're snapped into measure 6mm in diameter and 6mm deep on my dovetail mounting plate, which features a counterbored back side for the plug to spread out. Those holes aren't counterbored; they're that way by default on the plate, but you can do it yourself if needed or lengthen the shaft to fit through any hole or widen it for added stability. A shaft much thinner than this one is likely too weak. After printing the two parts, you'll probably need to sand and file them to ensure a flat mating surface before gluing them together. I included a small cover that snaps over the clamp to prevent cables from popping out.
