Dovetail Puzzle Cube
thingiverse
The 3D design was created as an exercise in mastering Fusion 360. The original model was generously shared by fpga68k and served as a starting point for the project. Two versions of the cube are available: one with a diameter of 40mm and another with a diameter of 65mm. A 0.3mm offset is used, making it feasible to scale down the design if desired. Unfortunately, I encountered difficulties in creating a fully parametric model within Fusion 360. The sketch of the dovetail on the front face can be easily revolved, but replicating this process with a duplicate sketch on an adjacent plane proved challenging. To overcome this hurdle, I employed Pythagoras' theorem to manually calculate the dimensions required for the second sketch. If anyone is skilled in Fusion 360 and willing to lend their expertise, I would appreciate guidance on how to design the cube parametrically.
