Dovetail Puzzle 2
thingiverse
Hi makers, I thought you might like another puzzle similar to my Dovetail Puzzle 1, but this time with a convex inner joint. Print with a minimum layer height of 100 microns and about 20% infill. I use three outer shells and six top and bottom layers at 100 microns. The tolerances are quite tight, so you need to have your printer dialed in. You will also need a 4mm diameter by 2mm thick disc magnet and a ~9mm pin (I used a section of an M4 screw cut and sanded to length). Place the disc magnet in the base - it's a snug fit, so no glue is needed, but you can if necessary. Put the M4 pin in the top section. Make sure this moves freely and doesn't stick out before you assemble it; otherwise, you might struggle to get it apart. Assembly isn't difficult, but you'll need to hold the parts together at an unnatural angle (you'll see what I mean). I hope you enjoy making this! Pozzy 2017
