Dovetail Puzzle 2
prusaprinters

Hi makers,

I thought you may like this other puzzle similar to my Dovetail Puzzle 1 but this time with a convex inner joint.

Print with minimum 100 micron layer height with about 20% infill. I use 3 outer shells and 6 top and bottom layers at 100 micron. The tollerances are quite tight so you need to have your printer dialed in. You will also need a 4mm dia 2mm thick disc magnet and a ~9mm pin (I used a section of an m4 screw cut and sanded to length). The disc magent is placed in the base, its a snugg fit so no need to glue but you can if you need to, and the m4 pin in the top section. Make sure this moves freely and does not stick out before you assemble it, otherwise you may struggle to get it apart.

Assembly is not difficult but you will need to offer the parts together at an unnatural angle (you will see what I mean).

Hope you enjoy this make.

Pozzy 2017
Category: 3D Printing
