Dovetail Puzzle 1
thingiverse
Hi makers,\nI'm excited to share a puzzle with you, though unfortunately, its secret is already known. Nevertheless, it's still a very puzzling puzzle that I'm confident you'll all enjoy.\nPrint with a minimum layer height of 100 microns and about 20% infill. I use three outer shells and six top and bottom layers at 100 microns. The tolerances are quite tight, so make sure your printer is properly dialed in. You will also need a 4mm diameter, 2mm thick disc magnet and a roughly 9mm pin (I used a section of an M4 screw cut and sanded to length). The disc magnet is placed in the base; it's a snug fit, so no glue is necessary, though you can use it if needed. And the M4 pin goes into the top section. Ensure that this moves freely and doesn't stick out before assembling it, or you might struggle to disassemble it.\nAssembly isn't difficult, but you'll need to offer the parts together at an unnatural angle (you'll see what I mean).\nI hope you enjoy making this puzzle.\nPozzy 2017
