dovetail mount for cameras on Celestron cpc800 (8' telescope)
thingiverse
Using the computerized movement of a CPC800 can be useful for compensating sideral movements when taking a long exposure photo with a wide angle lens on a normal camera. I created this simple hook to attach a camera to it. The dimensions are designed to be compatible with an Amazon Basic tripod that I have, eliminating the need to frequently screw the plate onto the camera (PiastraSottoCanon.stl). The plate for the telescope (PiastraCelestron_xx.stl) features three holes for mounting: two for attaching to the back of the telescope and one central hole for using with wide-angle lenses that capture the tube inside the photo, allowing it to be mounted in front of the telescope tube.
