Dovetail markers for Woodworking
thingiverse
I was inspired by a design found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:18564 and decided to create my own set of dovetail markers, catering to my traditional woodworking habits alongside my 3D printing hobbies. To meet the requirements of my workshop, I made four different versions: Saddle Square (90 degrees), two commonly used ratios for the 1:6 and 1:8, as well as a 14-degree variant. During the experimentation phase, I tested various orientations to find the strongest and smoothest markers. In the end, I preferred the number tag facing down, which provided clean angled edges. A bit of sanding on a hard surface would remove any remaining rough edges. Overall, my Printrbot Simple 3D printer with PLA filament (Matter Hackers) and Tinkercad designs produced satisfactory results.
