Dovetail Joinery Box
myminifactory
When my kids were young, they had a blast playing with the box, not what I gave them - a gift that was supposed to be cool. My wife saw my latest project, the "Do Nothing Box", and loved it so much she only wished it was smaller. So, I built the Dovetail Joinery Box. As an experienced woodworker, I couldn't just build any box, so I added dovetail joinery to the sides of the Dovetail Joinery Box. This modern version is a lot easier to create than its wooden counterpart. I designed it using Sketchup 8 (the free version) and printed it in PLA using Makerware and a Replicator 2. I've built two of these with different color combinations, and now I'd love to see the colors you chose! As a final note, I've uploaded all ".skp" files used to build this project. Feel free to modify any component - just like I did when I added my wife's name on "Front.stl". My wife and I would both enjoy seeing your results.
