Prehistoric carved rock unearthed on private farmland, southwest of Dove Hall, Baildon, West Yorkshire. This stone may be out of place and potentially relocated. Referenced IAG190 in Boughey & Vickerman’s 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’, where authors describe: ‘Medium-sized rock with a fine grit texture, earth-fast. On its vertical face are four distinct cups grouped together, another shallow cup, and another group of cups.’ CSI: Rombalds Moor project recorded ‘Dove Hall 01’ on ERA, noting similar motifs accompanied by a possible starter cup and partial ring. ERA info: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/details.jsf?eraId=2615 Historic England listing: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1011738 This digital model was created from 3 stereo pairs captured by Richard Stroud (CSI Team) in May 2013. The imagery forms part of the HLF funded CSI: Rombalds Moor / Watershed Landscape Project archive.
