The Douglas C-47 Skytrain, famously known as Goonybird, Skytrooper, and Dakota, was a military version of the Civilian DC-3. Widely used by Allies during WWII, it transported cargo, personnel, paratroopers, towed gliders, and performed logistical tasks. The aircraft carried up to 28 troops along with crew members, and was powered by Pratt & Whitney engines. Its retractable landing gear allowed operation from rough fields, serving every allied service during the war. To this day, it remains in use for military and civilian purposes; even turboprop conversions have prolonged its lifespan. This model is nearly scale-sized, featuring detailed textures including rivet patterns, animateable components like propellers, landing gear, ailerons, flaps, elevators, and rudder.
