The Douglas C-47 Skytrain, famously called Goonybird, Skytrooper, and Dakota, was derived from the Civilian Douglas DC-3. During World War II, it played a crucial role transporting cargo, personnel, and paratroopers for Allied forces. The aircraft could carry up to 28 troops, along with crew members, and was powered by Pratt and Whitney engines with retractable landing gear. Its versatility allowed it to operate from rough fields. Despite its age, the C-47 is still in service globally, even with a recent turboprop conversion. A highly detailed near-scale model features animateable parts such as propellers, landing gear, and control surfaces. The model comes with textures, materials, and multiple formats for download.
