This high-quality model is built almost to scale and boasts a highly detailed exterior complete with radio antennas, pitot tubes, and finished landing gear. It comes fully textured with all materials and textures included and features animateable ailerons, flaps, elevators, rudder, landing gear, landing gear doors, and turbines. Available in various formats for immediate download, this model also comes in several DC-9-20 liveries. The DC-9-50 was a lengthened version of the DC-9-40 with an additional 8'2" to the center fuselage, accommodating up to 125 passengers and powered by 2 Pratt and Whitney JT8D-15 or JT8D-17 engines. A military version, the C-9-50, was built for US armed forces. Following Douglas Aircraft's acquisition by McDonnell, several variants were developed as the MD-80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90. The final variant was developed by Boeing as the 717 after they purchased McDonnell Douglas.
