The textured model features animateable turbines, flaps, ailerons, rudder, elevators, and landing gear (hidden for "gear up" flights). Built near scale, it's available in various formats and comes with all materials and textures included. The Douglas DC-8, a competitor to the 707 series, was developed simultaneously and shared similar design and capabilities. First flying in 1957, these aircraft boasted a good safety record and served major airline routes until late '70s; many were later modified for freight use. Some DC-8s still fly as cargo planes five decades after their initial development.
