The Douglas DC-7C, a long-range transport aircraft manufactured between 1953 and 1958 by Douglas Aircraft Company, is intricately designed near to scale with real dimensions and detailed features. Animateable control surfaces such as flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder are included, along with movable landing gear, doors, and propellers. The aircraft also features a full double-row radial engine modeled within the cowlings, accompanied by animateable cowling flaps. This model is available in various formats. As an improved variant of DC-7, the Seven Seas boasted non-stop transatlantic capability, enhanced engines, and increased fuel capacity due to longer wings. A total of 121 were built, serving into the end of the 20th century; some still fly today while others are being restored by museums and private owners.
