The Douglas DC-7C, a long-range transport aircraft produced from 1953 to 1958, boasts animateable control surfaces like flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder. Additionally, its landing gear, landing gear doors, and propellers are movable. The model features a full double row radial engine within the cowlings and includes animatable cowling flaps. Notably, this aircraft comes in multiple formats. As an improved variant of the DC-7, the DC-7C Seven Seas offered non-stop transatlantic capability, enhanced engines, and increased fuel capacity via extended wings; 121 were built. This versatile aircraft continued to serve into the end of the 20th century, with a few still flying today and many being restored by museums and private owners.
