The Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas is a meticulously detailed model, scaled accurately to its real dimensions. Animateable control surfaces such as flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder, along with movable landing gear, doors, and propellers, enhance the model's realism. A double-row radial engine is also included in the cowlings, complete with animateable cowling flaps. This model is available in numerous formats. The DC-7C was an improved long-range variant of the Douglas DC-7, built from 1953 to 1958 by the Douglas Aircraft Company. It boasted non-stop transatlantic capability, upgraded engines, and increased fuel capacity via longer wings. A total of 121 were constructed, serving well into the end of the 20th century; some still fly today, while others are being restored by museums and private owners.
