The Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas, an improved long-range variant featuring non-stop transatlantic capability, advanced engines, and extended fuel capacity due to longer wings, was constructed nearly to scale using precise dimensions with intricate detailing. Animated control surfaces such as flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder, in addition to animateable landing gear, landing gear doors, propellers, full double row radial engines within cowlings, and animateable cowling flaps, are features of this model. Available in various formats, the Douglas DC-7C was built by the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1953 to 1958. A total of 121 were manufactured, with many serving well into the end of the 20th century.
