The Douglas DC-7C Seven Seas is a meticulously scaled model featuring moveable control surfaces, such as flaps, ailerons, elevators, and rudder, as well as animatable landing gear, landing gear doors, and propellers. The aircraft also includes a detailed, double-row radial engine within its cowlings and animateable cowling flaps. This model is available in multiple formats and was an improved long-range variant with non-stop transatlantic capability, enhanced engines, and increased fuel capacity due to longer wings. A total of 121 DC-7Cs were built and served into the end of the 20th century; some still fly today while others are being restored by museums and private owners.
