The Douglas DC-7 is an American transport plane made by the Douglas Aircraft Company from 1953 to 1958. It was their last significant piston-engine transport before the emergence of jet aircraft. The DC-7B had a longer range than its predecessor, designed for non-stop transcontinental flights in the US; 112 were manufactured.
