Available in multiple formats, the Douglas DC-7 is an American transport aircraft produced by Douglas Aircraft Company from 1953 to 1958. As the last major piston-engine transport created by Douglas, it preceded the era of jet aircraft. The DC-7B featured a longer range, designed for non-stop transcontinental flights across the US; 112 were manufactured.
