This intricate polygonal model is nearly scaled for an authentic depiction of the original object. It encompasses textures and materials along with UVW mapping in most formats. The model features animatable components like landing gear, landing gear doors, ailerons, elevators, rudder, and flaps; propellers are also animated. Available in multiple file types and airline liveries, this detailed model showcases the versatile Douglas DC-6. Originally designed as a military transport during World War II's concluding phase, the Douglas Aircraft Company built this piston-powered airliner from 1946 to 1958. After the war, it was restructured for long-range commercial transportation. Over 700 were produced, and many of these aircraft still serve today in roles such as cargo transport, military service, and wildfire control. In United States Air Force service, the DC-6 was identified as the C-118 Liftmaster, while in United States Navy service prior to 1962, it went by the R6D designation. Following 1962, all U.S. Navy variants were designated as the C-118.
