The Douglas DC-6 model is available in multiple file types and liveries. Originally designed as a military transport during World War II, the DC-6 was later adapted for long-range commercial use. Over 700 of these aircraft were built and continue to operate today in roles including cargo, military, and wildfire control. In United States Air Force service, it was known as the C-118 Liftmaster, while in the United States Navy, it was designated R6D until 1962, after which all U.S. Navy variants were redesignated as C-118.
