The DC-4, initially serving Eastern and United pre-WWII, faced maintenance issues and low efficiency for commercial use. Subsequently, WWII's Pearl Harbor attack redirected production to military purposes, resulting in 1100 C-54s and R5Ds. Post-war, 79 DC-4s were produced for airlines, while many former military aircraft reverted to commercial use. The DC-4 carried 40-80 passengers at a cruising speed of 227 mph, featuring a range of 4250 miles and a service ceiling of 22,300 feet; as of 2014, some remain in operation. This detailed medium to high polygon model is fully textured, near-scale, and packed with exterior detail. It's animateable, featuring propellers, flaps, elevators, rudder, ailerons, landing gear, and landing gear doors; available in multiple formats for immediate downloading.
