The DC-4 model features high polygon detail, full texturing, and near-scale accuracy. Originally serving Eastern and United pre-WWII, DC-4s faced maintenance issues and were replaced by simpler aircraft post-Pearl Harbor. However, their production was diverted to military use, producing 1100 C-54s and R5Ds. After WWII, 79 DC-4s were manufactured for airlines, with many C-54s and R5Ds converted for civilian use. These aircraft carried 40-80 passengers at 227 mph, boasting a range of 4250 miles and a service ceiling of 22,300 feet; some remain in operation today.
