The DC-4 model, featuring high polygon detail, is fully textured and nearly scale-accurate. It boasts extensive exterior features, animateable parts such as propellers, flaps, elevators, rudder, ailerons, landing gear, and doors. The model comes with all displayed textures and materials, available in several formats for immediate downloading. Originally serviced by Eastern and United Airlines in 1939, the DC-4 faced challenges of complexity and efficiency, leading to requests for simpler, smaller aircraft. However, WWII's Pearl Harbor attack changed course, with the DC-4 turned into military C-54s and R5Ds (1100 produced). Post-war, 79 DC-4s were made for airlines while many military planes returned to commercial use. These aircraft carried 40-80 passengers at 227 mph, with a range of 4250 miles and service ceiling of 22300 feet; some remain operational as of 2014.
