The DC-4 model showcases intricate details with medium to high polygon count, featuring full textures and near scale accuracy. First introduced by Eastern and United pre-WWII in 1939, the DC-4 faced maintenance complications and was deemed inefficient for commercial service. However, with the US entry into WWII following Pearl Harbor attack, production shifted to military use, resulting in 1100 C-54s and R5Ds. Post-war, 79 DC-4s were made for airlines, while many C-54s and R5Ds were returned to civilian commercial use. Capable of carrying 40 to 80 passengers at 227 mph, these planes had a range of 4250 miles and service ceiling of 22300 feet. DC-4s remain in service as of 2014.
