The DC-4 model is highly detailed with medium to high polygon features, fully textured and almost at scale. It boasts an array of exterior details and animateable parts like propellers, flaps, elevators, rudder, ailerons, landing gear, and doors. The model comes in multiple formats for instant downloading and includes all the necessary textures and materials. Introduced pre-WWII in 1939 by Eastern and United Airlines, the DC-4 faced challenges with maintenance and efficiency that led to requests for simpler alternatives. However, the attack on Pearl Harbor diverted production towards military use, resulting in 1100 C-54s and R5Ds being produced during WWII. After the war, 79 DC-4s were manufactured for airlines while many C-54s and R5Ds returned to civilian commercial use. The aircraft carried between 40-80 passengers at a cruising speed of 227 mph, with a range of 4250 miles and service ceiling of 22300 feet. Some DC-4s still operate today as of 2014.
