cgtrader
The Douglas C-47 Skytrain, also called Goonybird, Skytrooper, and Dakota, was derived from the Civilian Douglas DC-3. During WWII, it extensively served the Allies by transporting cargo, personnel, paratroopers, towing gliders, and performing logistical tasks worldwide. Powered by Pratt & Whitney R1830-901C Twin Wasp engines, these aircraft could carry 28 troops plus crew and had retractable landing gear for rough field operations. Used by every allied service in WWII, they still operate today in military and civilian roles; a turboprop conversion has extended their lifespan. This model is nearly scale, detailed, fully textured with rivet patterns, animateable features (propellers, landing gear, etc.), and available in multiple formats for downloading.
