The Douglas C-47 Skytrain, famously known as Goonybird, Skytrooper, and Dakota, was a military version of the Civilian DC-3. Used predominantly by Allies during WWII, it transported troops, cargo, paratroopers, and towed gliders worldwide. Powered by Pratt & Whitney R1830-901C Twin Wasp engines, it could carry up to 28 troops with a crew of four, retractable landing gear for rough fields, and served every allied service. Despite being over 75 years old, these aircraft still operate in military and civilian roles today, including a turboprop conversion for extended lifespan. The model showcases intricate detailing, animateable parts, and is available in multiple formats for download.
