The Douglas A-26B, A-26C, B-26B, B-26C, and A-26K, built by Dreamscape Studios, are our latest high-value models. These meticulously crafted aircraft boast near-scale dimensions (within a couple of percent), are fully painted and textured with realistic maps, and feature an array of intricate details. The models include geometrically detailed radial engines, partially detailed cockpits and rear gunner positions, and animated features such as propellers, flaps, and landing gear retraction. This 2016 build offers exceptional video animation and serves as a superb animation model. The A-26B Invader, developed by Douglas in the 1940s, was designed to replace the A-20 and B-26 bombers. As a low-level attack and bomber platform, it boasted 14 machine guns or combinations of machine guns and cannons, an internal bomb bay, and high speed capabilities. The A-26B had a "hard nose" with a navigator/gun loader stationed in the forward cockpit, while the A-26C featured a clear nose with the navigator bombardier positioned inside. Both models were used extensively during WWII and the Korean conflict, with some later receiving significant upgrades and seeing action in the Vietnam War. After 1948, they were redesignated B-26s. These versatile aircraft also served other nations' air forces, found new life in civil use or as firefighting water tankers, and became cherished museum exhibits or flying warbirds for public displays.
