Dreamscape Studios offers a range of high-value A-26B, A-26C, B-26B, B-26C, and A-26K models. These detailed replicas are near-scale, fully painted, and feature realistic textures with accurate mapping. The models boast numerous intricate details, including geometrical radial engines, well-defined cockpit areas with seats, controls, instrumentation, rudder pedals, and step-down passages (in C models), and a rear gunner's position (in C models). These models also offer animated features such as propellers, ailerons, elevators, flaps, inboard flaps, rudders, cowling flaps, landing gear retraction, and landing gear doors. The A-26B Invader was developed by Douglas in the 1940s to replace A-20 bombers and Martin B-26s. Designed as a low-level attack and bomber platform with 14 machine guns or combinations of machine guns and cannons, it featured an internal bomb bay for large payloads. This aircraft was fast and reliable, entering production in 1943 and seeing extensive action during WWII. A-26B models had a 'hard nose' with a navigator/gun loader stationed in the forward cockpit, while A-26C models featured a clear nose with a navigator bombardier inside. Both models were used for staffing, ground attack, and low to medium level bombing missions. Post-war, A-26s remained in frontline service with the USAAF and USAF (re-designated B-26 in 1948). They saw active service during the Korean conflict, undergoing major upgrades with refinements in wing, structure, power plant, increased horsepower, external weapons stores under wings, tip tanks for extended fuel load and loiter time, and designated A-26K. In the mid-1960s, A-26s were again active in combat during the Vietnam conflict. These aircraft were also sold to other nations for their air forces, used in civil applications, converted into firefighter water tankers, or preserved for museum and warbird displays.
