Originally designed by Douglas in the 1940s as a replacement for the A-20 and B-26 bombers, the A-26B Invader was a low-level attack and bomber platform with 14 machine guns or combinations of machine guns and cannons. The A-26C featured a clear nose and housed a navigator bombardier. These aircraft saw service in WWII, the Korean conflict, and the Vietnam war, before being redesignated B-26 and sold to other nations for various purposes.
