Dreamscape Studios has created a range of high-value A-26B, A-26C, B-26B, B-26C, and A-26K models. These models are scaled accurately, fully painted with realistic textures, and feature extensive detailing. The models include detailed radial engines, partially detailed cockpits and gunner positions, animated propellers, ailerons, elevators, flaps, rudder, cowling flaps, landing gear retraction, and doors. Developed in 2016, these models are great for video animations and animation projects. The Douglas A-26B Invader was developed by the Douglas Company as a replacement for the A-20 bombers and Martin B-26. Designed as a low-level attack and bomber platform with 14 machine guns or gun combinations, the aircraft had an internal bomb bay and could deliver a large bomb load. During WWII, these planes went into production in 1943 and saw significant frontline action. The A-26B models featured a 'hard nose' with a navigator/gun loader stationed in the forward cockpit, while the A-26C had a clear nose with a navigator bombardier inside. Both were used for staffing, ground attack, and low to medium level bombing missions. After the war, these aircraft remained in frontline service with the USAAF and USAF until 1948 when they were redesignated as B-26s. During the Korean conflict, the B-26B and C saw active service, and later, the A-26 underwent major upgrades for refinements in wing structure, power plant, increased horsepower, external weapons stores, tip tanks, and loiter time. Designated as A-26K, they were again active during the Vietnam conflict. Some A-26 and B-26 models were sold to other nations' air forces or converted for civil use as executive transports or firefighter water tankers. Several aircraft have been preserved in museums or restored as flying warbirds for public display.
