Dreamscape Studios' A-26B, A-26C, B-26B, B-26C, and A-26K models are their latest high-value creations. These near-scale models come fully painted and textured with realistic maps, as well as numerous details. They feature geometrically detailed radial engines, a level of cockpit and rear gunner detailing, and animated elements like propellers, ailerons, elevators, flaps, rudder, cowling flaps, landing gear retraction, and door animation. The A-26B Invader was developed by Douglas in the early 1940s as a replacement for the A-20 bombers and Martin B-26. Designed as a low-level attack and bombing platform, it boasted 14 machine guns or combinations of guns and cannons, an internal bomb bay, and a large bomb load capacity. The aircraft was fast, reliable, and rugged, going into production in 1943 and seeing heavy action during WWII. A-26B models had 'hard nose' designs with a navigator/gun loader in the forward cockpit, a pilot, and a rear gunner. The A-26C model featured a clear nose and housed a navigator bombardier, with machine guns remaining in the wings for strafing capabilities. After WWII, these aircraft served in the USAAF and USAF until being redesignated as B-26s. During the Korean War, B-26B and C models saw active service, and in the mid-1960s, A-26s participated in Vietnam conflict operations. The A-26K underwent a major upgrade with refinements in wing structure, power plant, increased horsepower, external weapons storage, tip tanks for extended loiter time, and served in combat zones. These aircraft were also sold to other nations, used for civil purposes, converted into executive transports, firefighting water tankers, or displayed in museums as warbirds.
